Yeah, I know, it’s Day 3 of ’05. But, better late than never, right?

By now, I should’ve been in Meridian to spend the night and marking a head start to a long road trip to Guin, Alabama.

I’ve had the last couple of days off from work. Yesterday was my (mumbles)th birthday and Cindy and I celebrated with family and friends.

As I write this, we’re now at 200 days exactly ’til the wedding. There’s a little preview — OK, a big preview — of what’s to come. In WDAM’s newsroom, there’s a nice picture of Pamela Weaver and her husband at her desk. Pam and Will are pictured arm-in-arm on their wedding night. Nice photo.

The pinheads at Direct Media Services (DMS) are at it again. And one of them in particular can’t seem to take “no” for an answer.

I know, been awhile. Busy stuff.

This week, between the $550,000 fine for the Janet Jackson/Super Bowl incident and Dan Rather’s mea culpa for the erroneous 60 Minutes story, that’s been the sentiment around WDAM.

Truth be told, I don’t like to criticize fellow broadcasters. But, an incident that was documented recently has been talked about around the radio stations I work for.
