Yeah, I know, it’s Day 3 of ’05. But, better late than never, right?
Anyway, hope the new year’s going well for you so far. If not, remember, you’ve got 362 days to make it a great one.
My Christmas vacation lasted about a week and a half — but it seemed much longer. It was tough readjusting to the old work schedule.
Highlight of the vacation: Finally, my folks got to meet Cindy folks as we all met up in Alabama.
Christmas left lots of nice presents — including a TiVo (thanks, Geof!), some good books, new clothes, a bobblehead doll of Ohio State’s Matt Wilhelm (from Cindy’s sister and brother-in-law; married name they share is…yup, you guessed…Wilhelm) and even the home version of The Newlywed Game.
Back to the Buckeyes, a quick hello to all Texas Longhorn fans who were in Hattiesburg to root on our Golden Eagles against Cal last month. Cindy and I couldn’t help but return the favor when your Longhorns battled against and defeated Ohio State’s #1 foe, Michigan.
One more college football note: WAR EAGLE! I say that because I have a lot of relatives who root for Auburn. Plus, I’d like to see the Tigers make a case for the national championship. This way, there’s hope the powers that be hear the continued cry for a playoff system.
