And Another Baby Makes Five

Please join me in congratulating Steve Taylor and his wife, Susan — proud parents of their third child, Emerson Lola, who entered the world earlier this morning.

With regard to the rumor about their other two children, the answer’s no. They’re not renaming Shelby Grace and Walker Brooks as “Lake” and “Palmer”, respectively. (Only kidding!)

Seriously, congratulations to the family.

Hello world!

Consider this a belated birthday present, Doug. [And yes, I still owe you the rest of it, too. Dadgummit.]

Anyhow, I’ve gone in and imported all of Doug’s old Greymatter entries into WordPress … its superior technological base will mean that Doug can re-open comments and not have to worry about spammers [because worrying about spammers will become my job, heh]. Also, WordPress just kicks Greymatter’s ass. [Even Noah agrees with that.]

So … happy belated, Doug.

All In All, A Good Birthday

The day began with opening presents — including a couple of CD cases and the complete first season of The Amazing Race on DVD. I immediately took a look at the behind-the-scenes stuff plus the infamous “ostrich egg” deleted scene.

Later, Cindy picks up the tab after a delicious meal at Copeland’s — where we saw my former co-worker Erin Elias (also known as “E²”).

Cindy and I each took the day off from our professional responsibility. Time well spent.

Point To Ponder

The last few weeks, I’ve been up to my neck in business. (Hmm, wonder why?) Seriously, thanks to everyone who has sent some sort of monetary help this direction. And if you haven’t, it’s still not too late.

Anyway, the password for today is “Outdoor”. And it comes to us from one of my co-workers who asked, “What’s the National Hockey League doing on something called the *Outdoor* Life Network?”

Think about it.
