A couple of changes to note in TV land.
Sara Burget, a reporter at WDAM-TV (where I work during the week), is leaving us for a reporter position in Pennsylvania. Sara came to us after the crosstown CBS affiliate folded their news operation for the second time in five years. Suffice to say, we got their best reporter in the deal.
Also, Sharon Whitley, my partner in crime on the dawn patrol at WDAM, is getting married tomorrow. She’ll become Mrs. Scott Stahler in a ceremony in the early evening. They’re planning for an outdoor ceremony — but, I hope they have backup plans. Tomorrow’s high is supposed to be 65 degrees with a slight breeze. Tonight — ugh! — back in to the low 30’s. And we’re in spring, right???
Tell me about it, man. I went in for dinner last night, and it was 70. I come out, it’s 50. We go to bowl; we come out, it’s 35. The HELL?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!
BTW, Geof, Georgi Deerman’s about to pull a Doug Morris. She’s leaving work today at noon — and then heading straight for Huntsvegas to spend the weekend with family.
Do I know this person?
Mmmmm, Huntsvegas. I wish it were only that exciting. My Friday night is going to be spent doing laundry and cleaning.
