Radio Days: Act IV

The gang at Blakeney Communications world headquarters is writing a new chapter in its history with the acquisition of its fourth station.

Larry and company bought WXHB from Ken Rainey. We’ll be keeping the solid gospel format in tact — but will drop the Rush Limbaugh show (a leftover from XHB’s talk radio days… or when Rick James programmed it, talk radio *daze*… but I digress).

Larry’s brother, Randy, already will have a steady hand in WXHB when our takeover’s complete October 1. Randy serves as producer/director for a locally produced Southern gospel TV show airing on access cable (a show I got to run camera for… but again, I digress).

Yeah, but it’s been awhile since I’ve been on Randy’s crew. That’s only because some taping sessions last late into the night and Randy knows I’ve got to sleep sometime!
